Thuy Launches Designer Women’s Clothing Line and Opens Showroom

Thuy is pleased to announce the launch of its Fall 2007 designer women’s ready-to-wear clothing line. The exhibition of the collection to be held on Saturday February 3rd at 5 p.m., will take place at the Thuy Showroom, located at 114 W. Houston, Suite 3, New York, NY. The presentation will also mark the opening of the Thuy Showroom, a tranquil and inspirational space dedicated to the display of Thuy’s clothing.

The new line is a true reflection of its designer, Thuy Diep. Born to parents who taught at and operated a tailoring school in her native Vietnam, and surrounded by an extended family spanning virtually all aspects of the fashion world, Diep began honing her skills — and a love for well-crafted clothes — at an early age. A Parsons School of Design graduate, Thuy’s career in the fashion industry has spanned a wide variety of positions, from pattern making to designing. With the launch of her self-named label, Diep brings her life’s influences to realization in her clothing.

“My clothing mixes casual chic with understated romantic sophistication,” describes Diep, whose designs highlight form, craftsmanship and subtle — yet dramatic — details. Her creations reflect a woman of beauty and intellect, one with an artistic and forever-youthful soul.
